Japanese citizen Su Qing has gifted a rare, 40-meter-long replica of the historic "Mongol Invasion Scroll" from his personal collection to Mongolia's Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, J.Aldarjavkhlan.
The detailed scroll illustrates the events of Kublai Khan’s naval campaigns against Japan. The original artwork was commissioned and painted by Takezaki Suenaga, a Japanese samurai who fought in the 13th-century war. Today, the scroll is considered a highly valuable historical resource for studying Mongol-Japanese relations, medieval military tactics and weaponry, and the society and culture of that era.
Following the presentation, the artwork was officially handed over to T.Bayara, the director of the Kharakhorum Museum. The scroll will be preserved in the museum's treasury, where it will be used for scientific research and featured in public exhibitions to promote shared historical heritage.
