20–30% of 13,000 children with disabilities attend school
On May 29, the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet answered questions from members of Parliament and received information.
During the session, Member of Parliament O.Saranchuluun said that only 20–30% of the 13,000 children with disabilities are currently attending school, while the rest are unable to access education.
She also called for rehabilitation specialists who support children with disabilities and their parents to be included in the list of priority professions.
Prime Minister N.Uchral said that although there is a great deal of social support, only 26% of it reaches citizens in need, while 70% goes to those who are employed, healthy, and already carrying out their duties normally. Care and support should be considered differently.
He added that the Education Loan Fund will be transformed into a Development Fund, and that rehabilitation specialties will be included in the loan priority list. If necessary, funding will be provided at 100%. I have established kindergartens for children with disabilities myself, so I understand their suffering.
