The SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026 was held in Tokyo, Japan, on September 3-6, 2026, bringing together approximately 6,500 athletes from 53 countries at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium.
Athletes from the Arte Suave Mongolia Jiu-Jitsu Academy represented Mongolia at the championship and won a total of 26 medals across two disciplines.
Competing against top athletes from around the world, the Mongolian team demonstrated strong technical skills, tactical preparation, and endurance, further showcasing the achievements of Mongolian jiu-jitsu on the international stage.
Among the Mongolian competitors was the son of police captain Ch.Bat-Erdene, a senior inspector with the Public Order Protection and Public Safety Department of the General Police Department. He competed in two categories and won gold medals in both, becoming a two-time world champion.
His achievement highlights the growing success of Mongolia’s young jiu-jitsu athletes on the international stage.
