At the regular Cabinet meeting of Mongolia on April 8, 2026, it was decided that civil servants would work on a flexible schedule, including one day of remote work.

Following the decision, Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar held an urgent meeting with capital city officials and ordered state and administrative organizations in Ulaanbaatar to switch to a four-day in-person work schedule.

“In accordance with the instructions of the Government of Mongolia, state and administrative organizations in the capital will move to a four-day work regime. Employees will work four days in person and one day remotely. In doing so, capital city state and administrative organizations must understand private sector enterprises, avoid creating difficulties, and improve work productivity,” Kh.Nyambaatar said.
